Ringtones are not currently working on the Samsung Instinct HD

Unfortunately, we have not been able to get ringtones to work on the Instinct HD to work recently.

It appears that either Sprint or Samsung has blocked the ability to download 3rd party ringtones to this phone.

Sorry about that. We are continuing to look into the problem, but let us know if you have been able to download ringtones from any other site.

The good news is that wallpapers and video should work. We also have full length MP3s available for your computer.

Most Android and Blackberry phones do not support animated screen savers

Unfortunately, most Android phones don’t support animated screen savers. The good news is that non-animated wallpapers are supported, so please give one of those a try.

How to Download and Set Ringtones from the Myxer App on to your Android phone

When you download a ringtone from the Myxer App, the ringtone file gets downloaded to the notifications area on your phone.

To save the ringtone:

Expand the notifications bar at the top or your phone’s home page
Touch the file from the list
Select Save As Ringtone/Alarm/Notification.

Note: The ringtone must be saved before it can be used.

To access previously downloaded and saved ringtones:

Open the Myxer App
Click the More button
Select the Manage Ringtones option.

If you do not see the ringtone on the Manage Ringtones page, please try downloading and saving it again.

How to Download and Set Ringtones from the website or mobile site on to your Android phone

If you download a ringtone from the website or mobile site, the ringtone file can be accessed from the Android Music player on the phone.

Note: You should use the default Android Music player to set the song as a ringtone. We have see instances where other music players have unexpected behavior. Ringtones may disappear when set using the HTC music player.

You can find the Android Music player by going to the Home page and clicking on the Music app (with the large speaker icon).

To set the song as a ringtone, just select the song then select the “Use as ringtone” option.

Note: If you cannot located the default Music Player on your phone or would like to use the downloaded ringtone as a Notification alert, please use the Myxer App instead.

The Myxer App is free. You can download it from the Android Market or by texting ANDROIDAPP to 69937.

Why are the ringtones disappearing on my Android phone?

We have see instances where the ringtones disappear if you use the HTC music player to set the ringtone. Our engineers are looking into the problem, but in the meantime, try using the Myxer app instead.

The Myxer App is free and you can get it from the Android Market or by texting ANDROIDAPP to 69937.

I purchased a ringtone, but never received it

You should have received the ringtone message right after you replied YES to the opt-in message and before you received the “Thank You” message. The message should begin with “Myxer ringtone…”

Just open that message and click on the link or use your phone’s menu to follow the link and download the ringtone to your phone.

If you did not receive that message, please send us you mobile phone number and we’ll be happy to resend it from here.

It says that my Samsung Freeform II doesn’t support ringtones

Unfortunately, we have not been able to get ringtones to work on the Freeform II to (which is strange because they did work on the original Freeform).

We are continuing to look for a solution and will update you if we get any additional information.

The good news is that wallpapers should work, so give it a try.

If you have been able to download ringtones onto your Freeform II from any other sites, please let us know.

How to un-install the Myxer app from an Android phone

If something did not work correctly, please let us know. If you no longer want the Myxer app, you can uninstall it just like any other app on your Android phone.

Go to the homepage on your phone
Click the Menu button
Select Settings -> Applications -> Manage Applications
Select the Myxer app from the list and click the “Uninstall” button

How to Delete a Ringtone from your Android phone

Click “More” button and select “Manage Downloads”
Touch and hold the ringtone from the list
Select the “Delete” option
